As per Johannes Bronkhorst (Greater Magadha), the initial definition of Aryavarta excluded Magadha. It was only later that it was included as Brahmin influence expanded east (Perhaps with the Shungas)
Any suggestions for a layman like me, to brush upon Rajput history? I know it is too vast, fragmented and centuries old to be encapsulated in a book. But something which will help me gain atleast a vague grasp on the subject.
Thank you so much for the book recommendation! You write really good. Will keep coming back to your posts to satiate my curiosity about Indian history.
